Hurricane IRMA Repairs at Air Station Miami

Scope of work:
The project aimed to address damage sustained by USCG Air Station in Opa Locka, Florida, due to Hurricane Irma. This involved reroofing a fixed-wing hangar, structural repair of the soffit in a rotary-wing hangar and Pyro Building, and repairs to ceilings and floors in berthing rooms. LEGO handled site safety and health, quality control, cleaning, protection, and overall supervision. Additionally, LEGO also performed the design effort, which included the roofing, structural, and architectural duties.

Scope of work:
Comprehensive renovation of the Unaccompanied Personnel Housing involving the demolition and replacement of all interior finishes and MEP systems with entirely new systems, as well as new architectural finishes. Additionally, it included the installation of a new emergency service generator, replacement of the roofing system and exterior siding, and extensive site work related to storm and sanitary sewer lines, along with the installation of a new elevator. The scope also involved the installation of several kitchen equipment units to support a full-service kitchen.
Design Build Sandblast Facility

The project involved the demolition of the existing Paint and Sandblast building, site preparation, and the construction of a new Facility. The new facility, a pre-engineered metal building, housed new paint and sandblast booth equipment, along with dust collectors. It included complete architecture, structural, and interior packages. Electrical power distribution, lighting, and communications systems were installed, as well as the HVAC system. Structural interior design (SID) and comprehensive interior design (CID) for furniture, fixtures, and equipment were also included. The facility was designed and built to withstand sea salt-laden air and hurricanes.

The scope of work encompasses various tasks, including system-wide repairs, the truck offload system, storage tanks, fuel issue system, truck fill stand/flight line area, and defueling/waste fuel system. This comprehensive approach ensures the functionality and efficiency of the fueling infrastructure, crucial for the operations of the air station.
Miami Animal Import Center

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, which is located adjacent to Miami International Airport, is designated to hold and inspect animals entering the United States, with the majority of the facility dedicated to handling horses. The scope of work included removing flooring and wainscot finishes in the animal stall and corridor areas. The floor was refinished with a new resinous cement coating, while the wainscots were refinished with a waterproof sealer and resinous cement coating. Renovation was carried out in one bay, which consisted of 12 animal stalls and one corridor area. Additionally, a new structural steel column was installed for a new insulated partition wall and a roll-up door, enabling the division of one bay into two. This installation necessitated electrical, plumbing, and mechanical modifications.
Fort Norfolk Historic Restoration

Scope of work:
The project was conducted under a Department of Defense (DoD) contract issued by the US Army Corps of Engineers, Norfolk District, VA. It was successfully completed ahead of schedule in May 2020. The scope involved replacing twenty wooden double-hung windows, including the supporting structure. Additionally, four windows were restored to their original conditions; these windows date back to the 1850s. Building #4 and all of Historic Fort Norfolk are listed on the Federal and Virginia Register of Historic Places.
